For teenage children and adults, Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners; and no one can tell they are in your mouth. Your speech, smile, having pictures taken, and the like, activities are not affected.

Unlike braces, you may take them out to eat, floss, and brush comfortably to your heart’s content. Braces tend to catch everything from breakfast to lunch and snacks in between. These food particles are the feeding ground of bacteria. In turn, they cause cavities or gum disease when patients do not brush at least 3 times a day 2-minutes each time.

There are no restrictions on what you eat, and Invisalign is disease-free.

Each set of aligners are worn for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move - little by little, week by week - until they have straightened to the final position Dr. Tuncay had prescribed. You'll visit Rittenhouse Orthodontics about once every 6-10 weeks for checkups and to receive your next series of aligners. Treatment time, as always, depends on the complexity of the problem.
